The benchmark year 2100 in the article, however, is not a useful timeframe. Climate poses a clear and present danger, with hard deadlines before 2030, not decades from now. Still, Cassidy’s message is a powerful one. In the end, it isn’t enough that we only save ourselves. In fact, we can’t.
